It seems Tobias and the guys at The Light Between are on a similar mission. Here's their intro from the website but I'll be finding out more from them in the next few weeks...
There are two reasons, why we are trying to start this e-zine called “The Light Between”. The first one is that we think that hardcore is a global community, but the exchange between the communities in different countries or continents could be better. There are so many interesting bands everywhere, but they are only known in their local scene. That is a thing we want to try to change, we want “The Light Between” to be truly international. Secondly we think that hardcore is and should be political. It has always been more than just music, but sometimes we feel that it has lost some of its political awareness. That is where we want to intervene, the interviews or reports we would like to have on this zine should not deal with new albums, tours and these things exclusively. We hope it can be more than this. We hope it can help to exchange opinions and raise awareness for issues which should not go unnoticed…
The Light Between
I came across this brilliant sampler after checking out some of the Sao Paulo bands :)
